- The forbidden railway: Vienna - Pyongyang - really interesting travelogue of a trip to North Korea via Russia through a border not meant for tourists
- King Alfred's Way (cyclinguk.org) - a new 350km cycling route has been launched this month thanks to the folks at Cycling UK, a more detailed review over on advntr.cc here, hopefully will be able to ride this route this in the next 12 months
- Hunting the Nearly-Invisible Personal Website (cheapskatesguide.org) - the author explores the depths of the internet in search of the elusive personal website
- Drug Cartel Now Assassinates Its Enemies With Bomb-Toting Drones (thedrive.com) - scary use of regular consumer-tech, being used by cartels in Mexico and elsewhere for remote assassination attempts
- I Thought I Would Have Accomplished a Lot More Today and Also by the Time I Was Thirty-Five (newyorker.com) - this article would be good if it wasn't so close to home
